It was a comedy about two brothers in the National Guard who get manipulated by their mother into killing their father (as I recall, they stole a helicopter from the base and rocketed his car). The mother doesn't seem like a manipulative person--if anything, maybe a bit muddleheaded--but one of the brothers sees through her and desperately tries, with almost-disastrous consequences, to get the other brother to open his eyes to her ways.
