Maytag fridge mod # MSD2651HEB not cooling freezer doesn't work either

The first thing you do is to clean the coils and the fan under the refrigerator. Then remove the cover to the freezer and check the defrost heater. It's most likely burned in two and will need replacing along with the defrost thermostat and the defrost timer. Make sure to wash out all ice before working on it. Make sure to clean out the drain under the coils, too, and make sure when you clean the coils to wash out the condensate pan.
