You half-way cleaned it out which never works. You have to tear it TOTALLY down. That means taking out each part and washing out the baked on lint which is like a concrete lining. Mark all wires and test all safety fuses with a good ohm meter. You should find at least one safety blown open which would be mounted near the elements. Do not think that you can just replace this safety to fix it because you cannot. If not totally clean it will blow the new safety as soon as you run it, which is a waste of $40.00.
