I have a harbor breeze ceiling fan that has 4 lights on the bottom, but also a "globe" above the fan blades. I'm trying to get in there and clean it (lots of bugs) and replace the bulb, I cannot get into it because it has a metal cover on top of it. I know there has to be an easier way to do it other than removing the whole thing. Any suggestions? Pictures available if needed.

What model is the fan?

I have no idea, it was there when I bought the house, I had a look on it to find a model number but could not. Is there a particular place it would be, I also looked in Lowe's to see if there was one there, but no. I would estimate the fan is 8 years old.

It has a metal frame around the top globe.
