Hi, we have a mira shower operating off the hot water tank via a pump. When we put the shower on there is no pressure and the pump is screaming. After a while the shower operates correctly. The plumber who fitted the shower says there is little he can do and that the shower has been installed correctly. The hot water feed comes out the top of the tank and feeds down to the pump that is situated on the floor adjacent to the tank. The water is then pumped up through the loft across to the bathroom.I have seen on the internet that some systems feed out of the side of the hot water tank.
Can anybody help, we spent a lot of money on the bathroom and feel a little let down.

I'd say your biggest issue is with the plumber that would give you an answer like that... UGH!

I'm afraid we don't do much with electric showers over here in the USA... not yet anyway!

What I would recommend at this point is that you contact the MIRA technical department and chat with them directly... see what they think about this:

They should be able to help you out and then you can decide if that plumber needs to resolve this or if it really is an issue that is beyond him and you need to pull someone else in... ;)
