I'm wondering if anyone has tried fixing a humidistat on an Aprilair whole house humidifier? When I jump the wires at the stat,then,and only then will the solinoid valve open to allow water threw... I presume this means the stat is shot? I'm ready to tear it apart. Has any body beat me to it,and had any success? BTW,It's the 500 unit and its not digital readout. Any input would be helpful. Thanks

The simplest thing to do is hit Ebay for a replacement humidistat since repair is almost impossible due to the nature of the beast.
