I have a pump tank for a bar sink in my basement. I am starting to notice an oder coming from the sink drain. Is there anything I can put down the drain to eliminate the oder and not harm the pump?

Is the sink drain trapped? Is the tank vented?

Please answer ballengerb1's question. If you aren't sure, post some pics of the piping.
