Okay so I am 20 years old. Healthy female with a regular period. I do have unprotected sex often with my boyfriend of 3 years and we have never even had a pregnancy scare. Now These last few months my periods have been coming sooner and sooner (only by a few days). Well I used to get it on the first of every month I now get it a few days before the first. Late January came around and I got my period within the last 3 days. It usually lasts for 5 days. The first day is when I cramp really bad but not before. Well when I got it everything seemed normal until my cramps started moving into my lower back (never happened before) Well my cramps lasted about 2 days then they usually stop... And they did. I bleed for about 5 days then stopped completely... About 2 days later I started to spot and that lasted about 4 days then it stopped and now every once in awhile I will get cramps on one side of my lower abdomine. I took a cheap dollar store pregnancy test and it came back negative. Could it be to soon to tell or is this something else?

No way to know. Wait a month and take another test.

Do you want a baby at the age of 20 with someone you aren't married to? Sounds like a recipe for a hard life. I'm a single mom - due to divorce. I don't recommend the lifestyle.

Thank you for the advice but I don't really think its your place to pass such judgement. If It came down to that situation we would get married. My lifestyle is my choice!

Give it a little while and take another test I wouldn't stress over it best of luck

dontknownuthin I wouldn't ever tell someone who has obviously been in a committed relationship that you don't recommend that life style married or not babies are amazing regardless of your age or status

Of course nothing wrong with being a young mom I'm 23 with a kid and waiting to see if we have one on the way I wouldn't change it for the world I have been with my boyfriend for 8 years now and I guess some people just have an old fasion way of looking at things don't get me worng it will deff. Be a test on your relationship if you are but you seem to have a good head on your shoulders and were just asking for advice not judgment :)

If you're old enough to have a "kid," you're old enough to write in proper English. Sure, babies are amazing if/when you have the education which is necessary to get a job to support the "kid" and the emotional and physical strength to raise that child properly.

I thought this was a sight where opinions and support was welcome the op appreciated my my opinion and that was the only respose that mattered to me.. im old enough to raise my kid properly and do have the education to write in proper english may I ask why kid is in ""?

everyone comes from different backgrounds and i can tell u from my personal experiance that if a parent doesnt have and outstanding job or isnt in perfect health doesnt mean they can't raise a child properly.my mother who did not even graduate high school raised 3 girls on her own and did and amazing job we did not grow up on welfare or in poverty it depends on the persons determination to give their child the best chance at a good life and everyones views are different

Kid is in quotes because I work in the legal system and child, boy, girl, are more acceptable terms than using the flippant term "kid." That is, of course, unless your child is a baby goat.

Don't think she is passing judgment, I didn't notice that. It is her opinion. Don't jump to conclusions so easily.

I didn't express any judgment - I asked a thought provoking question.

I will pose another one for you. If you're so ready to be a mother, why do you refer to a potential pregnancy as a "pregnancy scare"? When I was trying for years to get pregnant, any signs of pregnancy were "signs of hope". People who are ready to be pregnant don't use the term "pregnancy scare".

I think it would be a good idea to take another pregnancy test.
And, if your symptoms persist please go see a doctor regardless of the test results.
There are several things that can cause spotting and pain.
Some are not dangerous, and some are (Ectopic pregnancy, for example, IS dangerous).
Hoping the best for you.
