I was divorced in California, and lived in Arizona at the time and still live in Arizona. There are no kids or property involved. My ex no longer lives in California and I want to move the jurisdiction to Arizona because the spousal support laws are more in my favor. Is that possible, if so how do I do it.

How long has your ex been out of California ?

No, you can't. The divorce is done. You can't do it over, California, Arizona or anywhere else.

I think the OP was wanting to change the amount of spousal support. Not the entire divorce.

If you have a money judgment against someone for, let's say, $1,000 from a California court can you apply to an Arizona court to change it to $2,000? Nope.

Do you argue that you're not trying to change the lawsuit, only the amount of the judgment? I don't think that would fly.

What Im saying is spousal support isn't set in stone like other money judements. It is treated in much the same way as child supprot. But if there is no change in circumstance then the amount may not be able to be changed.
