I moved into my boyfriends best friends apartment because the guy was moving to Florida . A couple of months later he moved back and it just wasn't working out. Fast forward 8 months later and the lease has to be renewed and the guy is no where to be found and we have no way of contacting him to renew the lease. Can we be evicted if we have been living there 1 year?

Does the landlord know you are there? Have you been paying rent, and to whom?
