    Giving Incorrect Residency Information
    Alsalam Alaikom
I have permanent residency in a foreign country, but I am not fulfilling the residency requirement and when asked at immigration on how long I have been away from the country, I do not give the correct answer so as not to loose my residency. The time has come to renew my residency card, and they have requested that I present copies of all pages of my passport with all stamps. Do I obtain a new passport so that they do not find out that I am not fullfiling the residency requirement, or do I be truthful to God and myself and loose the residency forever. Please help. Thanks

Getting a new passport may not help. All airlines must report details of all passengers to immigration office of each country, though there is no stamp on your passport but your name is already in the system. Telling a lie could jeopardize your status even more. Consult experienced immigration attorney in that country to see if you meet eligibility to maintain your status under any special conditions or not.

Be truthful to God.. it's what we must do at all time, isn't it?
