    Dual residency
I am posing a question about dual residency - I am in the process of becoming a travel nurse. I live and own a home in LA but want to live in TX as a resident to gain "compact license" status. I will be spending months at different locations around the country most of the year and will not be in one residence for 90 days consecutively. My LA home will be kept for my daughter and grandchildren to live in but has to remain in my name at present for her legal reasons. Is there a way I can rent and eventually buy a home in TX but maintain my LA home and not be taxed by both states?

If you mean income tax, yes you can own the home in LA and rent or own in Texas and file in Texas only.
