So my girlfriend said that she needed more time, like 1-2 weeks before we started dating again. She isn't ignoring me at all, and I still hug her, but the hugs aren't really the same hugs as I would give her if we were dating. So I'm having trouble having patience to wait for her, but I know that I need to respect her wishes. Any tips?

Be prepared to move on. Give her the space by not contacting her. If you continue to contact her then she will not get that space and things will not get better. But be prepared in case she decides she doesn't want to be exclusive anymore.

Thanks man. That helps quite a bit. She tells me that she likes me still, she just needs a bit more time.

Two weeks isn't very long at all for someone to decide if they want to be your girlfriend. I think you should start looking around for a new one. You can, if you want, give her some time, like maybe a couple of months. If you are willing to wait, please don't be a hermit. See other girls.

I think Oliver said it best - and I think she is creating distance before ending the relationship.

I'd leave her alone.

Well we broke up like 2 weeks ago. And she told me she needed more time yesrerday
