Can you vent your sewage pipes in you loft space of your roof
IN? Not into an attic or loft space. Out the roof.
NO. Vents must terminate through the roof as joy said.
If local code allows, you can possibly vent them out a sidewall and then up through the eave but they must terminate above the roof .
Not a fan of that ma, but you are correct, some areas do allow it.
Bottom line, no. The vent must terminate above the roof, local codes will determine how you get there
Ma, I have a tough enough time keeping up with my local codes, let alone keeping up with Irelands.. lol. But it does give me a good excuse to visit, tax deduct for business research, right..
Now that doesn't make a lot of sense Brian. You go through a stone wall to avoid going through the roof?Quote:
Very common in Ireland since most of the walls are stone
Now I have seen the vent stacks in Ireland on the exterior. The logic being that if they freeze they are easier to thaw. Or if the get blocked they are easier to snake (rod).
For crying out loud in the beard!! Am I the only one that hasn't been to Ireland?! You guys sure know how to make a fella jealous. Only way you can make it up to me is take me with you on your next trip. You pay airfare and Ill buy the drinks. Something tells me I get the short end of the stick.
And yes, I kissed the Blarney stone. You just have to wait until you get old like us.
God willing.
