I was told by a client, where I was forced to quit, that the manager and other employee had accused me of being something that I am not. Who can help me with this in Texas? I was told this is called defamation of character by the EEOC.

If you already contacted the EEOC, then follow though with them on a formal complaint.
The customer will have to make a statement to them, as to who exactly said what and what was being said.
The information has to be false, and you have to prove that it was this information that caused you to get fired.
Did you suffer any losses as a result of this statement?
Also, it might be helpful to know more details. What was the context and what was said?
