    Erectile Problem During Sex
So as the title states, I have an erectile problem. Whenever I am alone, I can maintain an erection and orgasm whether I was watching porn or just visualizing a scenario. The problem is that whenever I get intimate with a partner, I can't maintain an erection. I am not the most sexually active person, but I've had my fair share of experiences in the past where this wasn't an issue. I'm not sure if it stems from anxiety, depression, nerves etc. but I am curious to see if anyone can shed some light on my predicament. I have considered going to see a doctor or counseling, but thought I would try this first. Any ideas?

    Are you under stress?

If this is common for you, maybe you should just get checked out by a doctor. There are many things that can cause this... better to eliminate the possibility of anything medical.

Also, how are you masturbating? Is it using the 'death grip'? One of the problems of self gratification is that you get used to certain style of intercourse. So when you come across a woman, it just doesn't feel right. Try loosening your grip on your penis when you masturbate. Thumb not past your middle finger. Get use to getting off to lesser pressure.

This is in addition to the excellent advice that Odinn7 has given.

I usually use a moderate amount of pressure, but I'll loosen up my grip moving forward.

Yes, there has been a considerable amount of stress. I have a family history of depression and anxiety. Not sure if that would play part in at all.
