My boyfriend and I have been together for over 2 years now. Around 8 months ago we took a little 2 month break and since we got back together he doesn't tell me he loves me. I've confronted him about it numerous times and he says he's not ready to say it yet. I just don't understand it. We have an apartment together and Im sure everyone says this but I really do know he loves me by his actions and all he does for me, I just don't know why he can't put it into words.

You claim you really do know he loves you... but he won't say it. How do you really know, can you read his mind?

When you took your 2 month break, who's idea was it? It sounds to me like he isn't completely sure about this situation. In general, I have found that once you have a break, it's pretty much over.

Why do you need words if you have actions?

It was his idea to take a break and it was his idea to get back together. He's not a very emotional person but he tries to be for me because he knows how much it means to me, he supports me with anythibg I need and I do the same for him. About a week or so ago I was at my breaking point because I was hormonal and freaking out about how selfish he can be at times
(He was an addict and its in his nature to be selfish) and since then he has been putting 100% into the relationship. I feel like he wouldn't put forth so much effort if he didn't.

I don't know why I need words. Maybe its because its something that was normal in our relatinship and I don't want it to become normal not saying it and it never gets said.
