New new yorker boiler can't keep pressure down keeps discharging pressure rlelease aftear every twenty hours or so

Check the tank for flooding. Try turning off the feed water, could be a reducing valve leaking through. If the boiler has a domestic coil, it could be slowly leaking into the boiler.
