How reliable are the EtG test for probation?
I drank heavily on Wednesday night. I then had a 20oz beer on Thursday night. I did not drink after that and ran 3 miles on Saturday and then again on Sunday. I did not drink 'loads' of water, but did drink enough to keep me hydrated being that I was exercising. I had probation that Monday and I believe he did a stick test for THC, cocaine, etc(he left me in a separate room while he did "something".) It came back negative according to my drug screen form he had me sign. He then told me that he is going to be sending out the sample to the lab. He did not specify which test would be performed, however notified me if I had not drank anything in the past 5 days then I will be fine. I'm confused about what test it is. Will I pass? He did not tell me when I will be receiving the results and scheduled my next appointment next month.

I try not to judge people but it appears to me that you aren't serious about your probation. If it worries you that you may fail a drug or alcohol test, why you would do those things. I would hazard a guess and say you will probably pass but you still need to drink a lot of water. Water cleanses that body and especially after drinking a lot of alcoholic beverages, you need to rehydrate. Good Luck
