Well his taistbuds are not right. Everything taiste like salt?? Do you have any ideas as to what to do about this he will not even eat unless its just to keep him from getting sick. Even drinks taste like salt ?

The person to ask is his Physician - it would be dangerous and foolish to diagnose/assist over the Internet.

Very likely a reaction to the treatment ( I assume he is under) after surgery.
He needs to consult his own doctor on this, as it may be a reaction or side effect they need to know about
