Hi,I was hoping someone could help me figure this out.. so this is what I think is my first period (im 11)its been about 4 or 5 days and my mum made me wear a pad.. anyway I've been getting a brown and dark brown colour and maybe a drop or two pink.. so is this really my first period or is it just brown discharge... and if it is my first period.. is it okay to take a shower? Amd when will be my second period?

The person to ask is your mother BUT yes, it's probably your first period. If you have a brown discharge and it's not your period you need to see a Physician. Every woman's cycle is different and most women are very irregular at first.

Sounds like it's your first period. Mom made you wear a pad, why isn't she explaining what's going on, or answering your questions?

Yes, you can shower while you're on your period. You can do anything you normally do, even go swimming if you wear a tampon (they make tampons for girls your age).

Please talk to your mom about this, she really should be the one telling you what to expect, and what you can and can't do.
