My husband of 34 years has had 3 affairs with 3 different women. The first time I was pregnant with my daughter, the second time when I was pregnant with my son, and I just recently found out that he fooled around again while he was at a golfing trip out of the country this past year. I also found out through my doctor that I have herpes. He denies that he gave it to me, but I'm not a fool since he is the one sleeping around. Im unemployed right now and still living in the same house as him. My kids thank god are on their own. We don't really talk with each other which I don't mind, because I have nothing more to say to him. Should I forewarn him that I'm leaving, or just do it when I'm good and ready.

Do what is best for you, period. He is irrelevant except that you need to file for divorce and ask for spousal maintenance. I do not know if you can do anything legally about his recklessly giving you herpes.

Do not loose faith. You can still have a future relationship, another marriage if you want it. Get the support you need and education to manage this condition, and do all you can to strengthen yourself and separate and divorce yourself from this thoughtless person.

I am sorry to hear this. Situations like this are always hard. If there is no love, or you don't feel your husband can/will stop cheating. Then you need to get on your own two feet. I would leave when I was good and ready. Otherwise you may wind up back with him if you aren't feeling strong enough.
