Hello,

I have a York gy9 series furnace. When I turn it to heat, I can hear the ingnitor and the inducer come on but no blower. I can switch the blower on by moving the thermostat swith to on also, I did get a error code 4 and 11. Anyone have any ideas what to check? Thank you.

The blower is controlled by a thermostatic switch. It won't come on until the thermostat is satisfied (temperature is met). Your thermostat controls that also... are you waiting for it to start or do you just expect the blower will start right away? If it is the latter, wait for a few minutes to see if it comes on. If it doesn't call a service man.

Yes I do wait. I can hear it light up then after several minutes, it shuts down. Im guessing because the blower doesn't come on.

It's reaching it's upper limit and shutting down just like it should. Best call a service tech. good luck
