    IRA deductions
I'm filling out form 1040 and this is the first year I'll be contributing to a roth ira instead of a traditional ira, I understand I don't claim the deduction now anymore but is there some way I still have to report it just for IRS information only because I see nothing on any of the forms other than just ira deduction?

There is NO reporting on the tax forms themselves for ROTH IRA contributions.

Some tax software have worksheets that you fill out to insure that you are eligible for the traditional or ROTH IRA.
