My laptop was working fine yesterday and today I went to turn it on but it wouldn't. The light would come on but go straight back off, then I turned it on again then it came on to the home screen, so I thought yes its working but it went straight off now it doesn't work at all. The fan noise comes on for about 2 seconds then stops, the light stays on but nothing happens on the screen? Please help me

Can you boot to safe mode ?

No, the screen doesn't come on. The only thing that happens is I turn it on, the light will come on, the fan noise lasts about 3 seconds then goes off, then the light will either stay on or go off, nothing happens to the screen.

Have you checked your charger? It sounds like it or your connection to it went bad. Are you getting the charge light coming on when you plug it in without turning the laptop on ?


Your symptoms really do sound like a dead battery at this point.

Yeah either battery is dead or screen is dead :)
