    Low Back Pain
I was at work yesterday, I finished typing an e-mail, went to get up out of my chair and a sharp pain hit me in my lower back. I had experienced a similar pain throughout the years for the last 10. But this time, one leg is longer than the other, and when I lean to the longer side, it hurts. I have limited mobility like all the times before. I have always iced it, and recovered rather quickly. If the pain lasted longer than a day, I would put heat on it. I am going to see a chiropractor Monday, but in the mean time, is ice the best? I've got the rest of today and Sunday to deal with this until I can get into the Dr. I am also taking Ibuprofen every 4-6 hours. Icing 15-20 minutes every hour or so. It's been close to 24 hours since the initial pain. Should I move to heat now?

Ice is for swelling from an injury! Heat, preferably moist heat (put a washcloth under the pad) is for chronic aches and pains.
When did you notice that one leg is longer than the other? See a specialty shoe store, for a lift, although the chiropractor should help with that too.
