Hi,
I own a house in US and have purchased a flat in Mumbai, India few years back. The flat is vacant and I do not wish to give it on rent as it will be my primary house when I visit India. Will the house in India be considered as rental property in US while paying taxes and will I be expected to calculate taxes by calculating possible rent that I might have earned if I had given it on rent?
