How to replace a switch in a 2002 escort steering colmun
The headlights and the lights on the dash are flickering off. When you puch in on the turn signal lever they come back on. I am assuming the switch in the steering column is bad. How do I remove the column cover and replace this?

Would be better to ask in the "Cars and Trucks" category.

Honestly (and I'm not being mean here) if you need to ask, you are probably better off and safer to take it somewhere to have it done. It's not an overly simple task.

. Disconnect the negative battery cable.

. Remove screws going to the steering column cover.

. Remove connector and mounting screws; replace switch.

If the problem persists check/replace the ignition switch for wear, pitting, or melting.
