Finishing up a master bath remodel with vessel sinks and d'vontz single handle vessel faucets. Everything looks great, but pressure is too high to the faucets, as water splashes everywhere and will go over the lip of the vessel sink if we are not careful.

Have turned down the shutoff valves under the sink as low as possible, they are only open about 1/2 turn. House water pressure is fine, set to just over 70psi. How do I reduce pressure to just these faucets without breaking the bank?

Well for openers you're at the top end of house pressure. Then average house PSI is 45 PSI. If you have a PRV9 pressure reducing valve) installed set it back to normal house pressure and see if that doesn't solve your problem, Another solution might be to replace the aerator. Good luck, Tom

If you can't reduce the house pressure anymore then you have done exactly what all of us plumbers are doing with some of the new vessel sink faucets... choking the shutoffs down until the water doesn't overflow the sink.

There is no harm here and it should last as a long term solution. The only exception I have run into is that after a few years the shutoffs can get choked down/plugged up as the opening at the shutoff is so small... simple fix though is to just open and then reclose the shutoffs back to almost closed to clear any build-up/sediment.
