My dog is 13 years old and bleeding from his penis. He is a very active dog and still runs very fast. If released, he is hard to catch. This morning, we noticed blood drops on the floor. I checked and he was bleeding from his penis. He has never had any problems. I checked for swelling, but did not see any. He has not been fixed. Should I be concerned or wait a day to see if it stops. He usually is very active in the mornings, but this morning he just laided on a rug near the front door.

Call the vet. I suspect that he is in pain - possible kidney stone, who knows. Ouch, not much more painful.

The dog needs to go to the vet. This is not going to cure itself.
