I have water in my floor sometimes that I can not figure where it comes from. It stands in middle of my kitchen floor. It has happened 3 times so far and occurred about a week and 1/2 apart. It is about 2 ft in front of my sink. No water at the sink or under the sink and no water around my dishwasher or refrigarator. I have hard wood floors and my house is built on a slab. Any suggestions.

Anybody fumbling and dropping ice cubes from the refer freezer onto the floor- like I do all the time? Any spots on the ceiling?

No ice cubes and no ceiling leak or stins

How much water are we talking about? Shape and diameter of puddle? Can you detect a low spot in the floor with a straightedge or 4' level spanning over the spot? Clear water or any coloration? Pets?
If the water were ground water coming up through the slab, then through hardwood joints I would expect it to be difficult to clean up because as you cleared out the standing water, more would come in- probably. And if there were ground water with that much force, I think you would see water problems in the yard and possibly elsewhere in and around the house.
