I was am out the military and asking for some guidance. I was in for 7 years and while I was station in japan I received to DUI's. I was chapter out for the last one and received in lieu of trail by trial by court martial with under other than honorable discharge. Other then my DUI's I have no other issues in military or civilian courts. No counseling over my work or with my supervisors and just 2 mistake that I made while in japan. Is there any information how bad it can affect me and how I can change it. Thank you.

You can't change it... you can only deal with it and make sure it never happens again...

The best thing is time... meaning the further in the past it is.. the less important its going to be.

The worst thing you can do is lie about the discharge status... any incorrect or deceptive answer can be grounds to terminate your employment.. no matter how many years have passed or how long you've worked there.
