So I was banded last year, March 2012 and I lost about 107lbs but it wasn't easy. First few months it was good. Ate 3 times a day in small portions and I also ate my favorite foods in moderation. But once I got my 2nd fill, it all went downhill from there. Because I am a Muslim Covert, I observed Ramadan and I fasted for the month of August. And unfortunately I didn't get the nutrients I needed added my band restricted me from eating point blank. I was stuck on soup basically but once Ramadan ended, it got worse three weeks later I started gagging in my sleep and acid would go up my throat. Then I got a call from my doctor and turns out I have acute gastritis it made eating difficult. It only got worse when we discover I have H Pylori & took strong antibiotics for 3weeks. While that was done with, I am still taking Gastritis pills. But the main issue here: I throw up a lot. Majority of my weightless was due to my illnesses and while I am aware throwing up is somewhat common with lap band, I don't find it the case when one throws up DAILY more than 6 times a day. My family thinks I am bulimic but I don't find reason to believe so because I never had issues such as bulimia before or even had the idea of forced puking. I now have to throw up by force thanks to my Gastritis added I am still restricted on my lap band. I'm lost confused and worried if this could kill me because I get sick with one illness after another I don't know what to do. My own doctor is annoyed with seeing me. Help..!
