My homebase 5 blade ceiling fan has broken down just out of warranty the remote control still works the dimmer light but the 2 speed fan no longer works I don't know if the motors faulty or not I disconnected fan from ceiling hence bypassing remote then fitted plug top to cable into fan but was hoping fan would operate but no joy can anybody help me
