I don't know about others, but I can't see your picture.
SInce both y and the angle with measure of 40 intercept the same arc, using the Inscribed Angle Theorem, we can conclude that they are congruent. Then due to a corollary of the Exterior Angle Theorem, we can say that the measure of x is equal to the sum of the measures of y and 60. So x=100.
