Breaking a lease in Florida when safety is compromised
I have three children, we have a teenager get shot across the street from my house. My children play in the yard. How is it not possible to break my lease when we don't feel safe. This isn't the first shooting in my neighborhood we have heard unshot several times but this is the first time it has been this close.

It is not possible because the landlord is not responsible for the neighborhood. And in Florida, the landlord can hold you to your lease without trying to find a replacement.

It is not possible to break a lease for this, Safety needs to be something you investigate prior to signing the lease, not worry about afterwards. Also random shootings can happen in the best areas. If this is a really bad area, it was a really bad area when you signed the lease.

But even the best neighborhood will have some violence happen.

So you are obligated to the lease and do not have any grounds to break lease
