I am looking for an OLD movie I think it was from around the late 40's. What I remember about the story. "A lwayer is defending a murder suspect, a key witness for the prosecution is the butler. He states the muder suspect was at the house because of the liquor he drank, the butler deduced this from smelling the glasses. The lawyer tested this by smelling the aroma of several unknown liquors. Then hands the butler a glass of what everyone though was water because he poured it from a water pitcher. The butler sniffs the glass and proclaims it is New York water and even can detect a hint of clorine. But when he takes a sip spits it out because it is gin." There is more but if anyone can tell me the name of the movie I will be most gratful.
