Dynavent gas wall furnace lights and then goes out
My Dynavent gas wall furnace glo-bar comes on and flame ignites and then goes out and then cycles back to the glow bar on again. Flame ignites and goes out after a few seconds. I replace the wiring harness and ignition control about two years ago. Could this be a problem with the flame sensing probe?

Hi mbmost and welcome, without a model number its only a guess, but I would try cleaning the flame sensor with steel wool or really fine sandpaper. Good luck

Hi again, below is a trouble shooting guide from your manual for your problem, make sure the flame sensor is in the flame and clean. Good luck

Burner cycles off and glo bar comes on immediately, check the following:

    REMEDY
    5. A. Check flame sensing probe. Be sure
Probe is positioned in the burner
Flame and glowing cherry red. Check
Wire and wire connections at probe
    And ignition control
    B. If wire and wire connections okay,
Check for voltage across brown and
Orange wires at ignition control. If
    No voltage, replace ignition control
    C. If voltage present, check wiring and
    Wire connections at valve
    D. If wire and wire connections okay,
    Replace valve

    parttime,

I just removed the flame sensor. It was not only cahed with burned residue but a lot of the sensor just crumbled in my fingers. I ordered a new sendor and door gasket and should be up and running again once the parts get here.

    Thanks again!

Your welcome, and keep us posted on the repairs.

That sensor is about the cheapest repair on that furnace, so looks like you lucked out.

    parttime,

I received the new flame sensor and door gasket. Unfortunately when I removed the door the glo-bar gasket fell apart. Had to wait a few days for that gasket but just put it back together and now my workshop has toasty heat!
    Thanks for your help.
