I had intercourse in the beginning of December and we realized afterwards the condom had broke. I had my regular monthly period in December, but when it came time for the month of January it started a day early and only lasted 30 minutes and hasn't started up again. I took a home pregnancy test and it came back negative. Is there still a possibility that I could be pregnant but it isn't reading on the test cause of low hormone levels or is this something else possibly?

Yes, false negative is very common.

Wait 2 week past the due date of the missed period, then test first thing in the moring with the first urine of the day.
If negative, wait and see if you miss the next months, if you do, go to doctor to get exam
