    Hot water valve flange problem
It seems the housing where the valve seat tightens into has stripped threads as my son has over tightened hot water valve deteriorating washers causing it to couple metal to metal. What might be the possible fix for a situation as this? I replaced valve seat covered with teflon tape, new valve and it was fine for about one test! Now the Hot water drips, so I just took off the hot water valve the new hot water valve seat was loosened by the h/w valve stem and come off with valve stem.:-O Stripped threads on the flange? I was toying with breaking the tile and soldering a new valve stem into the hot water side of flange manifold if no other fixes are recommended other than to replace the whole entire valve unit at once... Suggestions?

The easiest thing to do is to go to the hardware/tool store and get thread chasers or a tap and die set, Thanks.
