    Folic acid supplement
Hi, good day. Just recently I have been taking gnc multivitamins which contain 400 mcg of folic acid each tablet and another type of supplement which is natrol brain speed which contains 1000 mcg folic acid each tablet. I take 1 tablet twice a day from both products, which means I consume 2,800 mcg of folic acid in one day. Is this safe for me? I am newly married and I'm planning to conceive. Thanks.

    Yup ben is right.
I learned a lot about this when I was taking B Vitamins (which folic acid is) to try to help my metabolism. The great thing about B Vitamins is you can take quite a bit, and what will happen is your body will urinate out the excess. It actually turns your urine bright green too. So don't freak out about that.
