    Trouble with switches
I am having trouble with my electricity. The little power box on my inside wall with all my power switches in it is working o.k. but one of the switches (the water heater switch) has started turning itself off! I keep turning it on and after a few minutes it just turns itself off again.

Now the television in my bedroom is doing the same thing, only it's not the wall switch, it is the standby switch on the actual television that keeps turning off.

Could someone please tell me if they have experienced this problem, and what they did to resolve it?

    Thank you.

Hello, the tripping breaker (switch) to the water heater and the TV standby switch messing up are likely totally unrelated. The water heater breaker is tripping because the water heater is drawing too much electricity or something is otherwise wrong with the heater. You need to have a qualified person come and inspect it, you should also probably leave the water heater breaker OFF until someone looks at it.
    Hope this helps.

And, some of the tv's now have power saving features built in which turn off the TV after a set time. Check your TV owner's manual pertaining to how to override the feature or adjust the on time.
