Hi. Im 21 and looking for my birth parents. I know both of their names and what hospital I was born in. However I can't seem to find anything to help me that doesn't require money. Its extremely frustrating. If anyone could help me I would appreciate it!

Try seeing if you can get the agency used and see if you can access your adoption papers. Maybe look for a census where you were born? City hall could help.

I know this is frustrating for you. Pray about it hun. I'm sure here is good reason why it is closed. Are you mad at your birth mom?

There are a few registery where you post your info, if someone else comes looking for you.

But in general almost all of the name and address searches require money now. But most are not that costly

ESPECIALLY in closed adoptions, I suggest you use reunion websites. Most of the are free or cheap to register on. ISRR and adoption.com are probably the most popular.

Thanks guys! And yes to answer your question, Im pretty irritated at her. See both my sister and I were given up for adoption. (To the same family thankfully). She's 18 months older then I am. Why Im annoyed is... If you couldn't take care of her. Why wouldn't you use protection to ensure you didn't get pregnant again. But instead you get pregnant 9 months later... Yes I realize that if that hadn't happened I wouldn't be here. But it irritates me that we apparently have other siblings that she kept. Don't get me wrong. Im not going to run to her and be like take me back blah blah. Im perfectly happy with my family. Yeah I had a rocky childhood. Running away, drugs, thinking I hate my family type thing. Now that Im older and have gone through it... I realize that they were only strict on me for my own good. And Im trying to get back on my feet from all the stupid things I put myself through. I would just like to know medical stuff... and maybe get to know my siblings.
