How can I get my boyfriends brother to stop controlling him?
Me and my boyfriend have been in a serious relationship for two years and we want to get married and move in with each other but his brother keeps telling him he doesn't need to move in with me and tells me that I'm stupid he also said that he wanted to know how we were going to pay for a home because we are lazy (even though we both have jobs)

Hi, if this is your boyfriend brother, and you are all adults... then ignore him and have the boyfriend summon up the courage to do something about it. So far try moving in first without marriage, his brother might be concerned and for the right reasons.

What kind of jobs do you have? Minimum wage or actually something to build a foundation on? Having just enough to get a place and enough for food is not enough. You have to save save save, if you got in a crash could you afford the insurance now? If your store broke could you fix it? If your TV goes out can you replace it? Having enough is not enough, having enough to have plenty is where you need to be at. I'm saying this out of the brothers concern, are these valid questions for him to pose?

You personally can't do anything about it, but your boyfriend can. You can't because you don't have that close blood bond, it isn't your place to tell family to shove off. It's your boyfriend responsibility to defend you and/or be controlled by his brother.

That would be up to your boyfriend so he is the one to talk to. Have you?
