    Getting full guardianship
Ok so my son had been staying with his grandmother most of his life which I never really had a issue with until now.. see in October of 2012 she got evicted from her place and moved to LA with her sister but left my son with his father who was or is on drugs which I had no knowledge of. I took it upon myself to take my son from his father on Thanksgiving n been having him every since.. now that she is no longer getting welfare for him she wants him back and claims she have full guardianship over him but we never went to court n I never signed any of my rights over to her so I really need help trying to figure out where do I go from here to keep him in my care.. plus she is homeless staying in a shelter... plse help me... :-(

Without a court order giving her custody or guardianship, she has no legal right to the child.

I really feel sorry for your child's grandmother, being in a homeless shelter. She really does not have any legal guardianship over him, as another answer said. Your child would be much better off staying and living with you. If you get any kind of summons to appear in court, which I doubt, from either his father or grandmother, please get a lawyer. This probably will never happen though. I do hope you and your son have a great new year, and best of everything to you.
