    Goodman model trouble
    Hi,
I have a Goodman heater model # GMNT060-3 that cycles on, but will not lite. The ignitor glows bright red and the I hear the initial fan come on, but the unit has no flame. Yesterday when the ignitor came on I blow a bit of air with my mouth and the flame start immediately. The heater ran until the thermostat turn off the unit. The problem continues and will only lite when I blow on it. Any idea??
    Thanks, Rey

For some reason gas is not reaching the ignitor. I suggest having your gas supplier or an HVAC service person check the gas pressure into & out of the gas valve at the furnace. If it is OK, the burners probably need to be cleaned.

    Hi Grady,
What should the gas pressure be at the gas valve ? If the pressure checks within the specifications, is there a procedure to cleaning the burners ? Is it just a matter of getting to old carbon off with a wire brush ? Also is there any maintenance that I need to do ? Is the ignitor a maintenance item or just replace with it doesn't glow ?
Once again Thanks a lot !

Are you burning natural or LP gas?
