I have a fluffy white maltipoo with long flappy ears like a begal and a few days ago I took him to petssmart to het his hair shaved because it was madded(he loves to run in mud and sticks get caught in his long coat) any ways they shaved him completely down and he was acting funny I thought it was just anxiety because all his comfort was gone aka his hair but then few days later I notice his ears twitching from inside the ear not canal but his floppy ears both if them and now the tips are bleeding I honesly think pet smart cut his ears what do yiu think is causing the twitching think I can sue petsmart from the vet bill??

Take him to the vet. They might have nicked him with the clippers, or something else could be bothering him - a bug in his ear or something. Is he rubbing his ears on the carpet or with his paws, or just twitching?

He might also just be feeling breezes that normally were blocked by his fur before. Or you could notice something he's always done for the first time just because you can see his ears twitching now.

The bleeding makes it fairly obvious he was probably nicked with the shears.

I really hope you don't sue over such a common mistake...

Yeah, it's not a big deal. It would be hard to show that you've suffered much in the way of financial damages if you go into court and say, "my dogs ears twitched". The judge will look at you in disbelief that this crap has been brought into his court room.

If the dog needed stitches or something, I'd take the vet bill back to the groomer and ask them to pay it.

Hi, I think that your dog could have definitely been nicked, like when someone shaves. Did they use a safety razor? But do not sue, because the judge will absolutely dismiss you first thing. I hope the poor thing is OK though! I am an animal lover so any pet that needs help or a home, come to me!! :)

Why would the judge dismiss this?

I do agree that the OP (original poster) shouldn't sue. She should first make sure that the groomer caused this injury, and then she should go back with any vet bills incurred because of this injury, and ask for them to pay for the vet bills.

But, if she can prove that the groomer caused the injury, and they refuse to pay for the damages (the cost of the grooming, and the vet bills) then I don't see any reason why the judge would dismiss this if she were to sue.

If you have information to show otherwise, please post where you found this info. I'd really like to take a look at it, because you seem very certain of your answer, and this is a Q & A site, so if you're answering this question, it must be because you have expertise on the subject.
