    Breaking a lease
The Hotel my and boyfriend I work at also own the apartments we live in and they have said they want us to leave our jobs all because we are not from the area. Now they would never say that in those direct words but its pretty clear. How can I break my lease without paying more rent then I need to? Any suggestions would be great!

What type of lease do you have, a one year lease, is your job in any way related to the lease ( in writing that is)

If not, you are locked into the terms of the lease. Often if renting was part of the employment deal, some times the rental is part of the employment deal.

I would sit down with the land lord and see what you can work out.

And I can't believe they would let you go because you don't come from that area, since you live there now. I would say it has to be something else ( opinion anyway)
