    What could be causing this?
Hello. I've been taking Loestrin birth control pills for about 4 months... my last period was Nov 17-23 but I did bleed Dec 31 but it lasted only less than a day and it was so light I couldn't even use a tampon. Yesterday I was at the mall looking at posters and I suddenly felt faint. Symptoms including dizziness, nausea, faded hearing, blurred tunnel like vision, felt extremely hot especially around my eyes, weak, shaky, and a cold clammy feel to my skin, sweating profusely, ears ringing, pale/flushed look to my face and skin. I sat down and I started to feel better but it took hours to feel myself again. Later on I started having trouble breathing so I unhooked my bra and regained breathing pattern back a few minutes later. What do you think could have caused this and why was my period so light and short?

It may be unrelated. You should go to a doctor after an episode like that.

The symptoms you described could be from the flu. Could be low blood sugar. Could be a panic attack or a heart attack - lots of things. I suppose maybe it could be hormonal since this type of thing happens at time to women who are pregnant.

I am borderline Type II diabetic and feel exactly as you described if I forget to eat for too many hours.
