In a situation. Don't know who the father of my baby is, my Dr is giving me weird dates that just don't help. According to my Dr. as of Jan 7th I am 8 weeks and 4 Days. That I conceived the 24th but I did not have sex that day.

So my period is normal. Last period was Nov. 1-7th
Guy one: Nov 17th no protection. Didn't pull out. So he did ejaculate a little
Guy two: Nov 22nd no protection. He didn't finish. So he did not even ejaculate

The dates of your encounters are too close to venture a guess as to who the father is. You will have to have a paternity test done after the baby is born.

There is plenty of sperm in the early fluids so it could be either buy.

Dates are just estimates, they are plus or minus up to 2 weeks,

So when they give you a date, they did not mean that exact day, just an estimate of some day around that time.

That close together, there is no way at all, to know who it is, till the baby is born.
Sorry no estimated conception date will be that exact.

So you will have to do a DNA test after the baby is born.

A blood test could be enough in some cases, don't be afraid to talk about it with your doc, you will have all the explanations you need...

Please enlighten me on how a blood test prior to the birth of the baby can determine paternity.

Didn't mean prior to birth, was meant to reply Fr Chuck "dna after birth" bit, sorry should have quoted it, I see I can't edit that post now. Its just about paternity exclusion and if in luck can save the money of a dna testing (i.e. the "suspected" father is AB and the baby is 0 then he can't be the father)...
HLA is another blood exclusion test but that was pre DNA and only 80% accurate... now no point, don't even think they bother with it anymore since DNA testing is available

Anyway DNA testing can be done prior to birth also even using exclusively the mother blood (SNP Microarray) if someone wants a less invasive method than Amniocentesis or CVS. But its still a DNA test so not really what I was referring to...

Beside that if OP would ever find herself in the situation of going to court she would want to know what kind of DNA testing is accepted before spending the money... her doctor should know that though...
